Whenever the forecast calls for snow, I’m the first to say, “I’ll believe it when I see it.” Last night we started getting some flurries and I told Drema that if we were going to have any accumulation I was going to get up at the crack of dawn and take some pictures. Well we got around 3 inches and I was out as the sun was coming up and took some pictures. I got a few really nice shots that I’d like to share. All of these shots were taken using a polarizing filter. Mainly to cut down on glare and to give the morning sky the bright blue. I had the camera set in Aperture priority mode. There was plenty of light so for the bulk of these photos I set it to f8.0 and the ISO to 100 so I could have the sharpest images. Click the thumbnail for full sized image.
Of course, no snow day would be complete without some pictures of the kids in the snow. No polarizing filter for these shots.
