About
Philip Morris, Jr. is the Time & Time Photographer. Here is his background.
Philip was born in Florida, raised in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. He got his degree in Applied Physics and spent many years as a programmer for various contractors to NASA and the Armed Forces. During this time he was exposed to the art of 3D modeling and layout. Digital imaging was always a passion and when his hobby began to cross his professional life he started on the path of a part-time photographer.
So what type of photography does Philip specialize? Everything, you have to when you are a small town photographer. That’s his specialty. He loves taking photos of people, landscapes, animals, events and pretty much everything else.
Philip has worked many years in professional photo restoration. Recently he has volunteered with operation photo rescue to restore photos damaged due to natural disasters. He has also hosted photo walks and several informal workshops. He is very free with his knowledge and loves to teach others.
So why does Philip call himself the Time and Time Photographer? Time is the very essence of photography. The ability to capture a moment is what a photo does. In that moment you not only see things as they were, you can see movement, feeling, passion and emotion. The aspect he finds most compelling about photography is capturing moments of the same thing, time and time again and see how they change. Thus he is the Time & Time Photographer.
